Village hall
The ethnographic treasures on display in the Village Hall were collected by local amateur ethnographers in the village.
The collection is displayed in an old folk dwelling. The building was bought by the municipality in 1997 to house an exhibition.
Three rooms in the building were filled with exhibits. On entering, an old kitchen is used to display the traditions of peasant architecture. In one of the rooms you can see relics of old crafts, in the other you can see photographs, old valuable documents and handicrafts.
In the courtyard you can see parts of a water mill and an exhibition on the quarrying of the Börzsöny. The inhabitants of Márianosztra were once also involved in viticulture, as you can see from the press in the courtyard.
